Zooey Deschanel, is that girl in school, the kind of smart one who would one second be talking to you and your heart would race and you would think…then she was off on to the next part of her day, leaving you wondering what just happened. These kinds of guys, girls, people, we call them interesting, we call them captivating, we call them enigmas.
This one we call Zooey.
According to the Baltimore Sun:
Actress Zooey Deschanel is an indie film favorite, with starring roles in “All the Real Girls,” “Eulogy” and “Winter Passing.” Her more mainstream film credits include “Almost Famous,”, “Elf”, “Yes Man”, “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and many more.
Not only does Deschanel sing for some of her movie and TV roles (“Elf,” “Once Upon a Mattress”), she also performs in the indie-pop duo She & Him. M. Ward is the other half of the band.
In 2008, Deschanel became engaged to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie. Her sister, Emily Deschanel, is the star of TV’s “Bones.”
She is seemingly everywhere these days, music, TV, radio, film, small parts in films like “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”, where most critics say she stole the show (critics who also gave The Airborne Toxic Event a 1.6 out of 10…we will get to that in another post) and in a movie that was nominated for three Razzie’s “The Happening”, Zooey was just good enough to keep on watching it. Is she sexy in the conventional, thong bikini, modelicious sort of way? No.
Is she SEXY in a Zooey Deschanel sort of way?
Yes, Yes, and more Yes.
